In this project, we were given an opportunity to design the garden of Rupu House, where the owner would like it to be simplistic, meet all demands from the family members, and connect with other functions in the house. This led to a space design that incorporates variety and helps create a different perspective when looking out from the inside by utilizing geometric forms with clear proportions to harmonize with the architecture and choosing materials that complement the building.

The highlights of this garden are the spacious ‘lawn’ that can support a wide range of activities and connect to the Welcome Garden in front of the house; the 'Sunken Lounge' that flows into the Semi-Outdoor living area for family members and guests to use for activities or relaxing together; and the ‘Reflecting Pond’ that was designed to be shallow such that the reflection of the sky, the surrounding vegetation, and the rocks on the bottom of the pond can be appreciated. There is also a hidden fountains that creates rhythmic effects from water ripples, whose systems we subtly hid to blend in with the garden in order to meet the style of the house.
