“INDEPENDENT LIVING CENTER” is an Asian pilot center that serves HIV-infected orphans and children affected by AIDS. It became clear that when these children receive antiretroviral therapy, rehabilitation, and close care. And further, each lives normally grew up in youth. Studying at a higher level to be prepared to be a good adult in society is very necessary for the center.

 

So the Camillian foundation wants to establish a “café building”, which consists of a coffee shop and a barber shop, that is to aim to provide professional training for children. Through active learning process that bring their value and potentials. It also helps to promote the skills needed to survive in a society with value and equal human dignity. Also the foundation provides a challenging environment for in every age and stages of development through “football field” to develop a child's physical skills of coordination, balance, and dexterity. The program is structured to develop each child's positive personality traits, building confidence and self-esteem.

 

To help them, they need to be prepared, both physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually, to be able to live properly and be ready to be a mainstay in providing knowledge and understanding of HIV/AIDS in society.

The café which belong to INDEPENDENT LIVING CENTER under the Camillian foundation, aim to provide professional training for children who are HIV-infected orphans and children affected by AIDS through lifelong learning process. And help them to bring their value and potentials, and to promote their skills to survive in a society with value and equal human dignity

 

Boundless Café – With the dry process, the construction period was shortened.  The steel structure finished by the simple local materials such as plywood, hard wood structure, cement board and gypsum board. Those materials were designed in simple modular of 1.2m x 2.4m resulted in minimum intervention ordinary and honest beauty.
